What is Kogu Station Kaike?

Kogu Station Kaike is a bicycle rental station located within the Yonago City Tourist Center. Our services allow you to rent a bike and leisurely explore the city at your own pace.

About the rental bicycles

We offer two types of bicycles to cater to your specific riding needs.

Mini-velo bikes are perfect for city riding.

Cross bikes are suitable for long-distance and off-road riding.

■Our mini-velos include the GIOS “MIGNON” and the GIANT “ESCAPE MINI”.

■Cross bikes include the GIANT “SEEK 1” and the GIANT “ESCAPE R3”.

What is a mini-velo?

A mini-velo (“velo” stands for “bike” in French) is a bicycle with small-diameter wheels that is suitable for city riding and frequent stops.

What is a cross bike?

A cross bike is a hybrid-style bicycle that combines the features of a mountain bike and a road bike. It can be ridden on various types of terrain and is suitable for off-road and long-distance riding.

Rental Bicycle Terms and Conditions

● Accidents

If the user is at fault and causes damage to a third party, they are responsible for compensating the third party for any resulting damages.

We shall not be held liable for any accidents, thefts or other incidents caused by the user.

In the event of injury to a third party caused by the use of our rental bicycles, we shall provide compensation within the scope of our insurance coverage. However, injuries sustained by the user themselves due to their own negligence shall not be covered by the insurance.

● Malfunction or damage

If the rental item is damaged or malfunctioning due to reasons attributable to the user, we will ask the user to pay for the damages.

● Theft or loss

If the rental item is lost or stolen due to reasons attributable to the user, we will ask the user to pay for the damages.

 

● Rental time

Our rental time is from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please return the bike to the Kaike Tour Station during business hours. Late returns will incur additional charges.
 

● Prohibited actions

Transferring (lending) the rental item to anyone other than the person specified in the application form.

Reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, or any other violation of traffic laws.

Using the rental item in dangerous areas, unsuitable locations, or improper ways.

Riding without a helmet when the user is under 13 years of age.

Modifying or altering the rental item.

Any other actions that violate applicable laws and regulations.

Cycling precautions

●In the event of an accident or malfunction, please contact Kaike Tour Station at 0859-35-0175.


●Customers are responsible for handling any accidents or malfunctions that occur while riding the bicycle.


●Please keep in mind that bicycles are vehicles and must adhere to traffic rules, such as keeping to the left side of the road and maintaining safe distance between vehicles.


●When using sidewalks that allow bicycle traffic, please ride slowly near the curb and be mindful of pedestrian traffic.


●Helmets are mandatory for riders under 13 years of age, and we strongly recommend all riders wear helmets to ensure safety. Please note that helmet use is mandatory starting from April of Reiwa 5 (2023).

Personal Information Protection Policy

●Personal information provided for rental bicycle reservations or applications will only be used within the necessary scope of the service or for contacting you.

●Your personal information will be strictly managed within defined purposes and will not be used for any other purposes.

●Necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of your personal information, including prevention of unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, leakage, and other security risks.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you keep my luggage while I rent a bicycle?

We offer luggage storage for our bicycle rental customers for a fee of ¥300, discounted from the regular price of ¥500.

Is there parking available for cars?

There are 20 parking spaces available at the Yonago City Tourist Center. Please feel free to use them at your convenience.

What should I do in case of an accident or trouble?

If there is an accident or trouble with the bicycle, please contact Kaike Tour Station at 0859-35-0175.
